How It Started

Tara Bernardini opened Lotus Salon in 2011 after 26 years in the industry. She had worked in enough high-traffic salons to know what she did not want: rushed appointments, generic consultations, stylists stretched too thin. So she built the opposite. Tara leads the business and sets the creative direction, ensuring every detail of the salon experience meets her standard.

What started as a small studio has grown into a team of 15 stylists, but the philosophy has not changed. We keep our books intentional. Every appointment gets the time it actually needs. No double-booking. No shortcuts.

The Space

The salon was designed to feel calm. Neutral tones, natural light, clean lines. We are not trying to be loud or trendy. The environment reflects the work. Thoughtful, quiet, precise. Clients from Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Medford, Mount Laurel, Moorestown, Haddonfield, and even Philadelphia, West Chester, and Ardmore drive to us for this reason as much as for the hair.

The Team

Every stylist on our team was chosen deliberately. Technical skill matters, but so does the way someone listens. We look for people who care about the details: the way a blend falls, the way a cut moves when it air-dries, the way color catches light differently at the temple versus the crown.
